Yes. Everything happens through the portal and video calls. We file federal returns and most state returns remotely.
Open the portal, go to Documents and click “Upload file” on each item in Step 1. Phone photos are fine as long as the whole page is visible.
Click “I don't have this” on that item and add a short note. Your accountant will tell you if it's needed or help you find it.
Yes. Files are encrypted, sign-in uses two-factor codes and every file view is logged. Please never email tax documents.
Yes. Secure messages in the portal go straight to your assigned accountant.
For most people it's April 15. With an extension you have until October 15 to file, but any tax owed is still due in April.
Itemize only if your deductible expenses (mortgage interest, state and local taxes, donations) add up to more than your standard deduction. Our income tax calculator shows both.
It's your signature authorising us to e-file your return. You sign it in the portal once your return is ready.
Usually yes if you're self-employed and expect to owe $1,000 or more. Payments are due in April, June, September and January.
It can lower self-employment tax once profit is high enough to pay yourself a reasonable salary. Try the S-Corp calculator, then talk to us before electing.
Keep receipts, bank statements, mileage logs and invoices. Generally keep tax records for at least three years, and seven for some situations.

Yes. With your signed power of attorney (Form 2848) our CPAs and Enrolled Agents can speak to the IRS on your behalf.
Open Invoices in the portal and pay by card or bank transfer. You can also turn on autopay for monthly services.
For larger projects we can split the fee into monthly payments. Ask your accountant.
